Hello,
I'm having a problem trying to edit text whether is a text box or a simple text.
When I click on it with the text tool the text goes blank and I cannot see it, only the cursor. Although I don't use text very often I don't recall this happening before.
I'm using a Onyx Max Lumi.

Mike, I'm sending you a sample msf file via email.  Somehow my Messenger panel in my profile is missing!

Direct messaging was disabled on the forum a ways back due to complaints about it (users were getting spammed by fake accounts).

I'll have to take a look at what you've sent. That won't include the application settings though, so it might be helpful to also have you send a .mcf file (Settings->Backup and Restore->Export Settings).

Sorry it took me a while to follow up on this. I tested on multiple BOOX tablets (a Lumi and Tab X) and can't reproduce the problem. If I import your .msf, then edit the text annotation, the screen scrolls up and nothing goes invisible. So I may have you test once more with the next update to see if something was fixed inadvertently.

It turned out to be something related to the app e-ink optimization.  Unfortunately I can't remember exactly how it was fixed because I did a lot of fiddling with the refresh modes, contrast etc. 
I'll let you know if I'm able to reproduce it.
