Can I export mulitple msf files without merging them?
#1
I belong to a number of choirs that re-use individual items from previous concerts when putting together new programmes.

When we've performed a programme I like to take the files off my tablet (to save storage space) and export them to my PC. At the moment, I seem to have two options:

1) Select multiple songs and export them as a single merged file. (This makes it impossible to select individual items for re-use at a later date.)
2) Export each item as a separate .msf file. (This is laborious and time-consuming, but it does enable me to pick out individual items for re-use at a later date.)

Is there any way to export multiple items in a single pass, but end up with them as separate files (not merged into one large file)?

Are your files really that big? I would have thought that you could keep them all on your device and use setlists and collections to manage them.
This would restrict the number of files you look at at one time and you can use the setlists to "remember" what you previously played at a venue.
It also means that you can use the companion backup option. and also that any annotations are maintained (although it is possible to export files with annotations)

When naming setlists, I use the format "group yyyyy-mm-dd venue" e.g. "BandA 2025-06-30 Garden Party"
Whilst a gig is upcoming, I add a couple of space characters to the beginning of the setlist name (this makes is easy to find as it will be near the top of the setlists). After the performance, I rename the setlist without these leading spaces (Long press, three vertical dots, Rename)
(Apologies to those that have seen my previous posts suggesting this method).

BTW. I was under the impression that you can export multiple files into separate files but I can't remember ever doing it.

Hope this helps

I don't have an option to pick which songs to import from a .msf file, as it wasn't really meant to be used in that fashion. I suppose that's something I can consider supporting in the future though.
