We have the same problem with quick annotations.
Until now, you have to switch to edit mode, which is why we requested a "stylus" shortcut, like drawing a circle. But another solution, like ForScore, is to have a stylus shortcut that opens a sticky note in edit mode and places it by pointing at it where you want to leave a bookmark.
Here again, the (passive) stylus shortcut is still necessary.
Then, of course, you need to be able to easily find the annotated scores and pages.
This ties in with another request: having a marker (a single "*" on the list or setlist that says "Song modified, annotated"...
All these requests come together to help with band direction.
