I mistakenly thought the db would be updated directly. As suggested, I copied back updated db & restarted MS. Solution worked.
Yes, I was trying to fix Encoding settings.
- When I was batch importing *.cho files, they were displaying w/ special characters in MS bc my files were translated as ISO-8859-1 (even though the status of my text files are UTF-8).
- And it would be too much work to find the "problem" files and individually change them to UTF-8.
- I don't know if this is a possible bug or just the vagueries of the utility used to import the files or unexpected characters in my text files.
Although I was an s/w developer in the 80's & 90's on mostly mini & mainframe computers, I switched to Project Management starting in the early 2000's. So it takes me a little more time to get used the tools used nowadays for s/w.
