To simplify editing, it's possible to assign a quick action to a screen location. You can assign 2 fingers, 3 fingers, but nothing to directly indicate an edit mode if you have a stylus in your hand (Passive).
Would it be possible to create a specific shortcut: "Circling" on the screen means switching to edit mode, because then you have a stylus in your hand, and 2-3 finger actions are impractical. Furthermore, the "click on an area" mode has a drawback with the stylus: you often start editing accidentally...
There should be a specific action that opens editing, ignoring the first action for 1 second. Circling with a stylus makes sense, regardless of how precise it is.
Of course, other "squiggles" are possible, like simulating an eraser or a multi-scratch, but could it be more difficult to explain?
